This section possibly has outcomes from one of my very prominent quirks.

I am lazy, not just any lazy; I am crazy lazy.

And that means I am too lazy to click on the screen again and again. As a result, I end up spending a lot of time (a whole lot of time) optimizing often unnecessary things.

As a consequence, some workflows I discover are good, while others - not so much.!

Here, I list down a subset of tools that I have found useful over the past decade that help me save something as trivial as a click, or as critical as my eyesight! Feel free to take a look around and see if something works for you as well.

P.S.: Do note that I am only a user/consumer of the tools/processes described here and claim no ownership of the tools or consequences they might have. Have a great one ahead!

PPS: Also, this page has actual images(colored) and not the usual black-and-white theme, as I am unsure of how editing those images to match the theme of the site works with the actual creators of those apps.

Mac Apps

If you have been irritated at your AirPods(tm) for connecting to your Mac(talk about first-world problems) when you want them to connect to your phone when you are comfortably tucked in your blanket, this one will save a trip to the laptop.

A Mac app that prevents your sleeping Mac from connecting to your audio devices by turning off Bluetooth when it sleeps. Just does this, nothing more, nothing less.

Too lazy to move fingers to trackpad/mouse, but can press a gazillion keys to do the same?

Or if you relate to this guy, shortcat is the tool for you!

Click on any component of your Mac screen without having to click it using keyboard shortcuts using Shortcat.

Copy and paste: the unofficial mantra of 'efficiency' in the digital age.

Clipboard manager for Mac. This stores clipboard history enables allows you to fetch them quickly. If you have a developer-like workflow, chances are that you re-use a lot of text/code snippets. The clipboard manager helps you with a quick lookup of clipboard history.

Eyesight for devs because squinting is not a programming language.

This makes your Mac screen "warm" and adapts according to the time of the day. This app alone had a significant impact on my eye health.

Tab Outliner (Chrome/Brave Extension)

Browser extension to get a vertical view of 1000s tabs, for easier discovery of tabs.

Unhook (Chrome/Brave Extension)

A lot calmer when on the YouTube(tm) homepage.

Block annoying /overwhelming YouTube(tm) layout while still being able to consume sensible content.

Pocket (Chrome/Brave Extension)

Keep track of your reading list, across devices.
